This excellent book shop is in a great corner location one of the main streets in Bude. The shop caters for a wide range of different interests with a very large stock on two floors. The ground floor features mainly fiction with many books unusually displayed face-on (an unusual and effective way to display titles). The lower ground floor houses mainly non-fiction and antiquarian books with a healthy selection of American comics as well. Friendly owner, Steven Sheppard, makes no secret of his genuine love for books and we got the feeling he has read a lot of his stock!! Steven doesn't currently sell on the internet so a visit or telephone call are required. Well worth a visit if you are in the Bude area.
Books By The Sea is open from 9am to 5.30 pm 7 days a week (the only exception being Christmas).

A traditional book shop that sells a combination of new and secondhand books. Located opposite one of Launceston's churches, the shop is arranged on two floors. The ground floor of the shop offers mainly new books whilst the lower ground floor offers a good selection of seconhand and antiquarian books. Owner Richard Graham and his colleagues also run a website called cookery-books-online. They have over 60 years of experience in the food and drink industry between them, meaning that they have more than a passing interest in the subject of cookery! A friendly environment if a little chaotic (but thats what we like, isn't it?).

A large stock in a small space!! Located just off the town square in Launceston, as the address suggests, the shop is in a covered arcade called the White Hart Arcade. Find the White Hart Hotel and you will find the arcade. Owner, Spencer Magill, carries an amazing range of stock considering the limited space available to him. The shop carries a stock that combines new and secondhand books with a good stock of holiday reading material displayed on tables outside at competitive prices. The range of subjects covered by Spencer's stock is large but, the shop is strong on Art, Photography and books of Irish interest.
Opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm Saturday.
