A great little bookshop just off the main street in Bideford. Proprietors Susan Sutherland and James Simpson O'Gara offer a broad range of secondhand and antiquarian books. A rather 'tucked away' shop that is easy to miss so, make sure you don't!!

 This rather nice bookshop is located just a short distance from the town centre with ample parking in the Market Car Park opposite. The shop holds a good stock in four rooms, all at the same level, in what used to be a bakery. Owner, Jeremy Whitehorn, specialises in Military, Travel, Field Sports and Local books but, also has a good selection of books of general interest.

A long-established bookshop in the picturesque estuary town of Topsham. The shop is close to the historic waterfront and the quayside car park and offers a very large range of stock on 3 floors. Stock includes Paperbacks, Hardbacks, Modern and Antiquarian as well as Ephemera. Well worth a visit.

Opening hours: 10.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday (closed for lunch 1.00-2.00).

In their own words "a rather unusual bookshop". Unusual mainly due to the fact that the shop allows customers to set theirr own price for the books that they buy! You may buy up to three volumes per visit and can decide what you wish to pay. The profits from sales are used to fund the sending of books to developing countries and also to plant trees across the UK.

Opening hours can be a bit sporadic as the shop is run by volunteers so calling ahead of a visit is advisable.

Another long-established book shop that carries a general stock of secondhand and antiquarian books. This particular shop has always specialised to a degree in West Country topography and books relating to the local area. Rather tucked away on the first floor of the Guidhall Shopping Centre but has plentiful parking very close at hand.

Opening hours: 10.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday.
